Use Forums to Increase Traffic and Sales

There are many ways to promote your online business. To be successful, you should use a number of different methods in your promotional efforts. Forums are one of the lesser-known marketing techniques that can be very productive.

Many people start out by adding useless posts containing nothing but self-promotional material. Do not fall into that trap. People will steer clear of you, your postings, and your website. In addition, constant self-promotion could get you banned from the forum.

To benefit from forums, you need to give as well as take. Answer questions in your area of expertise. Provide useful information. By doing this, people will see you as an expert in your field. As people read your posts and see that you are very knowledgeable, you will begin to see more and more forum members clicking on your links and visiting your site.

To increase sales or traffic, join as many forums as possible. Make time to read and answer posts. Look for questions or problems that are related to your field of expertise. Everyone is looking for help on certain topics. By helping others, you will actually be helping yourself. Following are a number of techniques to increase your traffic and sales using forums:

Develop a signature (sig) file that includes the URL of your website or sales page. Each time you enter a post to ask or answer a question, include your sig file.

Forums are filled with people who are promoting products. Look through the various posts to find products to purchase, or better yet, get for free.

Forums are an excellent place to find a profitable niche for new product ideas. Examine post topics that have numerous questions. Typically, these are topics that people are interested in. Take note of the types of questions asked and the number of people asking similar questions. This can alert you to the need for a particular product. Make sure to go through these posts thoroughly. If the topic is filled with people answering a question, it is not a candidate for an ebook. If the topic consists primarily of questions, you may have found a profitable niche.

Get others to evaluate your website or sales page. Many forums provide areas where you can ask participants to review your site. This is an excellent technique that can improve your sales dramatically.

I check my traffic regularly and I see consistent traffic to my sites from forums that I post to. Making frequent posts is a great method to improve traffic.

Forums provide a very good source to get information on a product, service, or company before you make a purchase. People are more than happy to give you their opinion on products or companies that they are familiar with.

Forums can be very beneficial to the experienced marketer as well as the newbie. The most beneficial forums are those related to your site or niche. Seek out those related forums and you will surely see increased traffic and sales.

10 Powerful Ways to Increase Blog Traffic to Your Blog

Tags: , , , ,

If you have a blog, you undoubtedly want to draw as much traffic to it as possible. Whether you are trying to make a living by blogging or if you simply want to get a specific message out to the readers, a large amount of blog traffic is ideal. The following will list 10 powerful ways to increase blog traffic to your blog.

Use Keywords to Increase Blog Traffic

First, you want to use keywords throughout your blog. Doing so will not only draw readers to your blog but it will bring in individuals who are interested in the topic areas which your blog covers.

Have a Main Point to Your Blog

Most blog surfers do not want to read a blog which is circuitous in nature. They want to read a blog which has true depth and a main point to it. Therefore, make sure that your blog has a main point within it and gets to that point in each and every blog posting. This too will increase blog traffic for you.

Sell Things via Your Blog

Although some blog readers are just there to read the words and that’s all, many others are interested in making purchases along the way. With that said, you want to provide them with the opportunity to buy something while reading your blog, whether it be your own items or ones provided by outside companies through affiliate programs and pay per click programs.

Keep Your Blog Current to Increase Blog Traffic

Keep in mind that individuals aren’t going to visit your blog if they come across the same, stale information time and time again. You have to be sure to update your blog on a regular basis so that readers have something new to come back to.

Make It Interesting

In addition, the blog content should be interesting and enticing. You want readers to make it a point to visit your blog everyday and tell their friends about it as well.

Post Your Link throughout the Internet

Another way to really increase the level of traffic to your blog site is to post your link in as many places online as possible. This is another way, in addition to search engines, to get people connected with your site.

Offer Free E-books

A good way to get individuals hooked on your blog is to offer them something for free such as free e-books. E-books are multiple page writings which offer information and solutions on a variety of topics. Try to write an e-book or hire someone to do so and then post it on your blog. Advertise the free e-book over the Internet and by doing so you will ultimately increase the amount of traffic to your blog, please the readers and get them to come back for more.

Give Your Readers a Reason to Visit Your Blog

In addition to offering free e-books via your blog, you want to find other ways to get readers to visit your blog. Try offering contests and valuable information which visitors will want to take advantage of. If they find that your blog is helpful they will keep reading it and tell their friends about it also which will increase blog traffic to your site.

Focus on One Specific Topic

You have to remember not to spread yourself too thin when writing a blog. You want the blog to focus on one specific area which will draw individuals to it by way of backlinks and search engines. By focusing on one area you will find that your blog traffic increases more than if you were to talk about various things on a random basis.

Write Guest Posts on Other Blogs and Websites

Lastly, you should try to write guest posts on other individual’s blogs and websites to increase blog traffic to your own site. If you are putting out valuable information to the Internet surfers you are sure to find that people want to learn more about you and read other articles and posts which you have completed.

How to Increase Blog Traffic

Tags: , ,

These days everyone has a blog but most of them float unread out on the internet cloud. So the big question I keep hearing is how do I get more traffic to my blog? The answer is simple, and if you are willing to put in a little time you can do it for free as well.

Blogs are more or less just like any other website out there. Sure they are designed to make it easy for bloggers to post news, images, and video without much computer savvy but in reality they are just user friendly mini-websites. So now that you have one you want to get more traffic to it so here’s a few of the free and basic first steps to increasing your blogs traffic.

#1 Blog About Something People Care About

Seriously – if nobody cares about your blog because it’s just random talk about what you ate that morning you aren’t going to pick up a lot of traffic. However, regardless of how weird your interests may be someone out there also cares about them. So this one is an easy – just blog about something that someone else can relate to.

#2 Submit Your Blog to Directories

This one is also easy but takes a bit of time. There are a lot of free services out there where you can submit your blog to. They are basically like giant phonebooks for blogs and once you add your blog to their service more people will be able to find your blog. You’ll be able to categorize your blog and many of them let you use your own “tags” which are basically key words. Just jump on your favorite search engine and type in something like “free blog submission” and you’ll find lots of sites which can help you out.

#3 Have a Blogroll

Blogs often have a list of links somewhere that lists the other blogs or websites that are related or that the blogger enjoys visiting. If you want to help increase traffic find some sites that will trade you a link on their blog for one on yours. Don’t get too carried away with this though as you can actually lose traffic if you abuse this. This is where you start to get into the internet’s deeper and more inner workings so for brevity we’ll just leave it with this: you don’t want more than about 100 links on your front page or you might actually decrease your chance for big traffic.

#4 Submit Your Blog to Feedreaders

Most blog services have the ability to create a “feed”. You might hear people talking about RSS, syndication, or feedreaders. Basically what this means is each blog creates a list of what posts have been added to it much like headlines for a newspaper. You can find sites out there like the Blog Directories which you can submit your blog feed or RSS to. If you do this they’ll pick up your headlines and people can then dig through them for interesting blogs. The best part about these feed systems is that most continue to check your blog for updates so once you’ve submitted it you can just reap the benefits!

#5 Blog Often and When Appropriate

One mistake some people make with blogging is blogging when they have nothing useful to say just to get another “post” on their blog. If you are doing this then you are going to have a hard time making fans who are interested in saving your page in their favorites or bookmarks. However, you want to often update your blog. If you don’t post regularly then you’ll bore your fans. Blog often, but make sure you’re blogging something of interest.

#6 Make Sure Your Blog Has a Theme

If you’re blog is all over the place you’ll have a hard time putting together a fan base. You may get a few hits here and there by random people but you want to build a community. To do that you’ll probably want to pick a few categories you’re going to post about and stick with them. If you are the type who likes to make random posts sometimes you could just make a category called Random Thoughts or something along those lines but again be careful.

#7 Pingbacks and Trackbacks

If you want people to visit your blog then visit other blogs that are related to yours and get involved. You’ll find that people often leave comments with links back to their own blog or another related blog in the comments. These are part of the pingback/trackback system which can be a lot of fun and also get you a lot of additional traffic. Avoid spamming though as you’ll just irritate potential friends and you’ll likely have your comments removed and lose your comment ability.

#8 Appearance Matters

Every blog service offers templates which can make your blog look unique or have a style you feel fits. Often you can also customize your blog with custom graphics and tinker with the layout. While this can really help your blog be careful that you aren’t making it irritating to potential readers. Not many people want to come to a blog that hurts their eyes to look at or which has loud music they don’t like.

There you go, 8 simple tips on how to increase your blog traffic. The last thing to remember is that building up your blog traffic is going to take time. Depending on the potential number of people interested in your topics and your other blogging related skills it could take weeks and even more likely months to really get things going. If you blog it, they will come!

Increase Traffic Through New Blog Carnivals

Generate Traffic to your Blogs by Submitting Blog Content to Blog Carnivals

Article Marketing is a very important traffic generation exercise that have been discussed all the time. We have also heard of Blog Submitter to generate traffic. But this is something really new, the concept of getting traffic through Blog Carnivals.

What is Blog Carnivals

Blog Carnivals is a kind of blog event. It is similar to producing a magazine, focusing on a focused subject matter, and is published on a regular schedule, often weekly or monthly. Each edition of a blog carnival is in the form of a blog article that contains links to other blog articles on the focused subject.

Blog Carnival posts are generally organized by the author by mentioning relevant contributions from interested bloggers. The author collects links to these submissions, edits and annotates them and publishes the resulting round-up to his or her blog. Many carnivals have a home page or principal organizer, who lines up guest bloggers to host each edition. This means that the carnival travels, appearing on a different blog each time.

Attract Blog Carnival Traffic

Communities of blog readers, writers, and edition hosts form around specific carnivals. The carnivals provide an compilation of recent posts by the community on a given topic, and the host provides a level of editing and annotation that helps readers find posts they are interested in. Writers who submit their articles to blog carnivals are rewarded with traffic (if the host decides to give them a link and, perhaps, a positive review).

Blog Carnival List

Blog carnivals are being launched all the time from different blog owners for different topics. Some websites host a list of blog carnivals that were and currently active. You may browse through the large Blog Carnival List and find suitable carnivals, with related topics to your blog and submit your related blog post to these carnivals.

Since there can be many blog carnivals with similar topics occurring at the same time, you will want to maximize your effort by submitting to as many of these blog carnivals as possible. However, the process of going through the list of carnivals and submitting your blog posts to each and everyone of them can take much time. To save your precious time, you could use a Blog Carnival Submitter that has a function to easily find related carnivals based on keywords and lets you submit your articles to all the related blog carnivals all at once!

What to Submit to Blog Carnivals

Submitting content or articles to Blog carnivals are a little different than submitting articles to Article Directory. With article directories, you do not really need to post your article in your own website and simply include a link to any web url you wish.

With Blog Carnivals, you will need to actually submit articles that are hosted in your blog/website. In other words, you are not submitting articles but submitting a link to your blog posts that contains the articles.

You can enter the link of your blog posts into Blog Carnival Submitter software and submit them to all related carnivals all at once. Thus saving the repeating time-consuming process of doing it one by one. You can also submit more than one blog post to all carnivals all at the same time.

If you have submitted a good blog post, you will be highly rewarded by carnival owners with a back link to your blog and command limiteless amount of traffic for many years to come.

Hence submitting articles to Blog Carnival should be part of your internet marketing strategy and is definitely a good addition to your article marketing automation, search engine optimization and traffic generation effort.

How To Use Forums To Increase Profit In Your Business

Tags: , , ,

There are a variety of ways that Internet Marketers use forums to make money. One important way is as market research to build relationships with a target market. This will allow you to build credibility, which will enable your customers to trust you and feel more comfortably. It is necessary to become involved within the community, because this will allow you to share your expertise and knowledge, and you won’t be seen to be merely trying to sell something to the members of the forum. It is also a good idea to share some personal information with the community to add a personal touch, but ensure that the information is not too personal or inappropriate. There is also the possibility of gaining customers, because there are a lot of people who like to look at the forum without posting comments on it. They may not get involved, but they are taking note of what is being said.
Another way is to improve your business by forming relationships with other business owners to create joint ventures.
Many forums allow you to have a signature on your post, in which you could have a link to your website or blog. If this link has to do with the main topic of the forum, then people are likely to click on the link to see what you have to offer.
It is important to put a lot of effort into presentation, because you are running a business. Firstly, it is essential to read the rules and regulations of the forum. It is important not to try to sell with your first post. This will irritate people, and certainly will not lead to building trust. Starting conversations on a forum is a good way of showing your knowledge, but you must also reply to posts. If not, you can come across as not being trustworthy. There is also the need to remain respectful on the forum. It is okay to disagree with other people’s opinions, but arguing will only alienate people, and could get you banned from the forum. Conversations always need to be related to the thread topic, otherwise it may look like keywords are being inserted just for search engines to index a site.
There also needs to be some thought put into the username that you have, because it needs to show credibility and represent your business.
The other major way of using forums to improve your business is to create your own forum. This enables you to control how the forum is used, and to get your target market to come to you. Your own forum will allow you to promote your own products, as well as your affiliate products.
To create a forum, it is necessary to do some research. There are a variety of software programs available, some of which are free. For a small forum, the free ones will work fine, whereas for a larger forum, it would be better to go for specific software geared towards your specific needs. Once the forum is up and running it is then necessary to get people to join the forum, by advertising it as much as possible. When the community is buzzing with activity, it is then possible to make money from it.

Articles Submission Alchemy or How Increase Your Page Rank, SEO and Internet Traffic

Tags: , , , , , , ,

In the past if you were small business, there were no ways, but to place paid advertisement into local newspaper to attract some attention to your small retail store, restaurant, or repair shop. Internet opens unlimited and virtually free possibilities for you, however there are some conditions, or better to say, you have to know how internet search engines, such as google, yahoo, msn work and how to make them work for your business, attracting leads, potential customers, employees, vendors with better conditions, etc.

1. Article and Keywords. First of all article should be a bearer of your website strategic keywords, otherwise it will be gunshot to the blue. Try to incorporate some keywords into article, press release, news or blog header, then keep supporting your introduction with additional keywords combinations. Do not overuse keywords, however, your publication should be written in natural language, otherwise both editor and search engine declassify it

2. About Author section and links back. The theory of page ranking says that the web page should have minimal number of outgoing links in order to achieve higher ranking itself. At the same time it should receive maximum number of incoming outside links to be boosted. We believe that this logic is in essence abolished and nowadays google deploys multiple concurring parameters to determine the page rank. Plus, official page rank, that you can see on google toolbar is actually related to page aging process and is not directly related to real pagerank in search results. Just try to think about internet news. You often see news headlines relevant to your search queries on the top and obviously these news headlines are on not yet ranked pages of media portals. Back to the paragraph – feel free to place up to five links back to your web sites

3. Originality of the header. Yes, we believe that google tries to evaluate the header to be dense with relevant keyword and at the same time to be uniquely original and in essence represent good example of your creativity as journalist. We believe that it matches relevance and originality of header words combination. Please see alchemy keyword in the header and this might be one of the reasons for this article to be ranked relatively high

4 Ways To Increase Traffic To Your Blog

Tags: , , ,

Are you constantly blogging but the numbers you see in your traffic logs are embarrassingly low? It can be maddening to check your stats and realize that no one is actually stopping by. Don’t give up yet, because there are four great ways you can get traffic fast.

Traffic Tip #1: Do Your Keyword Research

Many bloggers make the mistake of thinking they can just throw some posts up there and expect to get traffic. There is a lot more to it than that! You need to make sure you are looking at the keyword data to find terms that are getting a lot of searches. Ideally, you want these terms to have low competition so it’s easier for you to rank. Once you start basing your posts around these kinds of keywords you should find that you’re getting a lot more traffic.

Traffic Tip #2: Write Enticing Articles Off-Site

Submitting to article directories isn’t just a good way to get backlinks to your site, it’s also a great way to get readers! Sites like EzineArticles.com have their own readership of people who are looking for the exact topic you’re blogging about. If you write a compelling article that leads into your resource box, people will be enticed to visit your blog.

Traffic Tip #3: Give People a Reason to Come Back

Getting traffic in the first place is one thing, but what you want to do as a blogger is have them coming back over and over again. The best way to do this is to create special offers or exciting events. For example, you can give away a prize each week to the new people who subscribed to your list or your feed. You can also run a contest for people who leave answers as comments on your blog posts. Make your blog a happening place to be and people will want to visit often and tell their friends.

Traffic Tip #4: Create Linkbait

Linkbait is when you write a blog post that is so exciting or controversial it gets people to come to your blog, comment, and link to the post. You may share some shocking news or offer an opinion you know is bound to stir people’s emotions. You do need to have thick skin when you write linkbait! Don’t expect everyone to agree with your opinion.

An example of linkbait is going the opposite way everyone else goes. For instance, imagine you have an electronics blog and you decide to review the iPhone. After reviewing the product you decide you don’t like it. You then write to tell your readers why. Since this was a product everyone was gaga over when it first came out the chances are good you would have gotten a strong reaction right off the bat.

There you have it! These are four solid ways you can start to increase the traffic on your blog as soon as possible. When you put these methods to work you’ll realize that the secrets to getting great traffic were in front of you the whole time.
