How to Rank High in Google Quickly For Your Desired Keywords

Tags: , , , , ,

Like anybody involved in internet marketing and web sites development I also like to rank high in Google search results for the keywords I consider useful after I have done some keywords research.

And like anybody else I know it isn’t that easy to reach this target. Google is the most important search engine of the internet, and the biggest source of traffic existing at the moment. The competition to get good results in the Google search engine is the higher existing too.

So to get these high rankings quickly we need to know, and to do, what Google likes and considers good.

One of the best possible ways is to use the big sites that Google likes a lot and indexes high for all the keywords and add there links to your own web site.

An example is Squidoo, that allows you to create your own pages about the topic you like. Squidoo often ranks high in Google search results for competitive keywords, so you can create your pages on Squidoo, that are called “lenses”, related to your desired keywords, targeting these keywords in the name and URL of the lens, in the text content you add to it, and in the link back to your own web site.

Google also likes a lot the big social networks web sites, like MySpace as example, and having links with your desired keywords to your own web site posted in MySpace can also help a lot your site to get indexed fast by Google and to get higher rankings for your keywords.

Squidoo and MySpace are just two examples of sites that Google loves and that can let you easily add links to your site. It is also important to notice that these sites are very good for anybody that wants to have links from big sites to their new sites because both of them have content about any possible topic, they are very generic sites and have pages about anything you can imagine.

I will show you other good sites, but before I want to give you another good tip that can make the difference.

Having the keywords you are targeting in your domain name can help a lot. If the main domain name composed only by the keywords is not available than you can select a variation of it, perhaps adding another word that gives anyway a meaning to the domain.

Now let’s see some other good sites you can use to rank higher on Google for your desired keywords.

Two possibilities are inside Google itself, or better said inside the Google network. But they could require more work to be successful.

I refer to Blogger and to Youtube, they are both free Google services.

Blogger allows you to create free blogs, and again you can select any topic you like without problem and Google loves blogs. The problem is that a blog must be continually updated to get and keep good rankings in search engines and Google in particular, so this will require more work than a Squidoo lens or a post on a social network.

Youtube also is loved both by Google and internet surfers, but you will need to be able to create a video to use it, than you can add the link inside the video itself to promote your web site to the viewers of the video, and in the description, to be crawled by Google and the other search engines.

The ones above are only some of the big, good sites that can help you a lot to get high rankings quickly for your desired keywords in Google, but there are many others you can find making some researches in Google.

Get going with high Google ranking

Tags: , , ,

Get going with high Google ranking Google’s ranking is objective. Results are difficult to tamper withThe growing popularity and hence the widening marker share of Google is an established fact. Google has outgrown the competition and has set industry standards for others to emulate. Google believes that when any user comes searching for his or her query on Google, he or she should get most relevant and quality results. And this is probably how Google has maintained its sanctity as a formidable search engine to reckon with.

To dish out meaningful results to searchers on the web, Google has adopted a methodology called search algorithm which takes care that filtered results against the search criteria are as “honest”, “objective” and “easy” (Google’s own terminology) as is possible using cutting edge technologies at its end.

One of the intriguing aspects of Google’s search algorithm is that it keeps on changing. However, what does not change is its commitment to serve the users in an impartial and meaningful way. One can well understand the arduous challenges Google took head-on when it became operational as a search engine with this vision.

This is not unexpected that in such a massive operation, discrepancies and flaws would creep in. Google did have its set of flaws in the initial years and web masters played around the loopholes for a better ranking. In an attempt to prevent such maneuvers in future, Google fixed the bugs in search algorithm as and when they came to the fore. And, best of all, it adopted a highly dynamic methodology to rank the pages and this methodology changes a bit before the flaws become general knowledge for all to tamper search results.

Notwithstanding all such aspects, getting a good placement on Google is not an enigma at all. Though it could be a mystery for people who intend to cheat on the Google. Google specifically mentions what it looks for while ranking a web page, and what it takes to be on the high search engine results. This is true that whatever is written on this page are at best broad guidelines, but one can learn to formulate such placement strategies as are in conformity with the spirit of Google’s search algorithm.

Scaling new rankings on GoogleAs no one can deny or debate the indispensability of some good rankings on Google, so there is a point to learn the secrets of this great advantageous possibility of your web site on the Net.

Let’s discuss how to go about it

Go for quality inbound links

It is held that the greater the number of links you manage to get at your web page, the greater is the possibility that your web page will be ranked high on Google. But it should be kept in mind that link or links pointing at your web page must be relevant, related and meaningful. Basically, nothing but these are the characteristics of a link that qualifies for a quality link with respect to your web page. There is another advantage associated with it: Google rankings of the web pages whose links you have displayed at your web page contribute its little bit in the ranking of your web page. Simply put, quality links are fairly good means for optimizing your page.

Make your title tags relevant

The title tag of your home page is crucial for your web page. As is common understanding, the title of a page speaks cogently about what is to follow in the ensuing page. When it comes to Google optimization, it is equally significant as Google does read title tags and then proceeds to the page for content evaluation.

So, crisp and concise title tags that relate to the core focus of your web page or better still title tags that are identical to your chosen keyword(s) are helpful for optimization of your page.

Decide your keyword(s) and determine its density

Basically, keyword is the word with which users are likely to search in Google in order to reach you and you too have it on your web page. In other words, you decide what your page is all about in a few words, keeping in view with what sort of words users are likely to search for your page or similar pages on the Net. Like for example, if your web site is into offering web design consultancy and service, you can settle down with the keywords like web design, web site design, web development, web design consultancy and the like.

Keyword density is the ratio of number of occurrence of your selected keyword(s) and the total number of words on the web page. As is evident now, the more a keyword is repeated on the page, the higher the keyword density.

But there is a word of caution here: though good keyword density is taken positively by Google, mindless dumping and clustering of keywords resulting into content chaos may deteriorate your existing ranking or even your site may be banned. Remember a good keyword density is never a two digit figure on a web page; it could preferably be four to five i.e. keyword can safely be repeated four to five times on the web page for better results.

Some Google friendly considerations for a good rankingIncorporate the links on your web site with keyword(s) if possible

Google’s founders have revealed that if the links placed on your web site also contain your keyword, then there are pretty good chances that your web site will be ranked higher as against that keyword. So, linking strategy has got double advantage for your web page optimization. Firstly, the relevance of the link on your site, and secondly the presence of keyword on that link is crucial respectively. If combined together, they go in strong favor for a higher Google placement of the page in search results.

Hence, if you are thinking on some truly helpful strategy to optimize your page, why not to adopt this linking duo to push up your Google ranking.

Use ALT tags on images

Be it known to you that Google does index the Alt tags and texts contained therein. Therefore, if you use various images on your web site, do not forget to use ALT tags and give relevant content. It is likely to give your web page a boost in terms of ranking.

Some people do not use Alt tags on images simply out of sheer ignorance. This is, of course, will not be the case with you anymore. Will it be?

Put a link to your dynamic pages

Contrary to other search engines, Google is compatible to index all your pages including dynamic ones. However, Google’s ability to read your dynamic pages depends on the fact that whether a link is there or not to them. Once you provide a link to your dynamic pages, Google will index these pages without any apparent difficulty.

It is recommended that you do not let Google to escape your dynamic pages due to mere lack of a supporting link.

Avoid using Meta tags

Google does not take into consideration the Meta tags while indexing a page. Thus, spending time and energy on carefully using Meta tags makes no sense. Instead, exploit your time and resources on the strategy that works, like ones which have been discussed up to this point here in this article.

Lesson

The only lesson that works in matter of high Google ranking is the lesson given by Google itself. Keep your eyes and ears wide open to sense how you can be Google’s algorithm friendly to sustain your competitive edge over others.

6 Ways to get your Blog Ranked High on Google

Tags: , , , ,

Getting your blog ranked high on Google is a fantastic way to attract potential clients. Here’s how it’s done.

1. Select Your Keywords and Keyword Phrases

Choose the keywords and keyword phrases you want your blog post to rank high for on the Google search engine results page. For example, I want my blog post to rank high for the term, “blog ranked high on Google.” Currently there are approximately 286,000 pages using this term so I’ll have to do everything in my power to compete with these web pages to get my blog post on the first page of the Google results page for that term.

My keyword phrase also includes other keyword phrases like, “ranked high on Google” with about 310,000 competing pages and “high on Google” with over 71 million competing pages. Getting to the first page for these terms would be a bonus.

2. Use Your Keywords in Your Blog Title

Google pays very close attention to the words and phrases you use in your blog title. Notice how I used the term, “blog ranked high on Google” in the title of this article. It’s important to use your keyword phrase in your blog title if you want to rank high for that phrase on the Google results page.

Another reason you want to use your keyword phrase in your blog title is to give your reader an immediate understanding as to what your blog post is about. If your blog is listed at the top of the search engine results page for your keyword phrase but no one reads it, it’s of no value. Use a title that will cause people to click through to your blog post.

The New York Times creates two different titles for their articles. They use a catchy, creative or humorous title for their newspaper, and a keyword specific title for the articles and blogs they post to the Internet. They do this because people looking for jokes about the eating habits of nuns generally go to a search engine and type, “jokes about the eating habits of nuns,” not “Nuns, Buns and Puns.”

3. Use Your Keywords in Your Blog Text

Notice how the keyword phrase, “blog ranked high on Google,” is used throughout this blog post. Google pays attention to the text on a blog in order to understand what the blog post is about. Once Google comprehends the content of the blog post, it will categorize the blog based on that information. By using your keyword phrase in your text, both Google and your readers can quickly understand what your blog post is about, allowing Google to accurately categorize your blog making it easy for your clients to find.

In the past, search engine consultants encouraged writers to use their keyword phrase in the first 25 words of their text and again in the last sentence. Today, the search engines don’t seem to pay as much attention to word placement, but reader’s do.

If your article is about your keyword phrase, it’s a good idea to use it in the first and last sentence because it helps your reader quickly know what your blog post is about. It’s also a good idea to use your keyword phrase in the first sentence because that is the text that is most likely to show in the description text on the search results page.

4. Link To Your Blog With Keyword Rich Anchor Text

Get as many one-way links leading back to your blog post as possible from as many quality blogs and websites as you can. Do your best to insure that the text people click on to get back to your site includes your keywords and keyword phrases. This is known in Internet marketing circles as anchor text.

In this example I want the anchor text leading back to my blog post to have the keyword phrase, “blog ranked high on Google,” as the clickable text. The clickable text is the means by which all of those other web sites and blogs tell Google what your blog post is about.

Google provides far more weight to the theme of your blog post based on the quality and size of the sites linking back to your blog than the text on your blog. For example, if you do a Google search for the term, “click here,” you will be taken to the Adobe Reader download web page. It’s interesting to note the term “click here” doesn’t appear anywhere on that page. The reason the Adobe Reader download page comes up first for this term is because there are millions of other sites that use the anchor text, “click here,” to direct people to the Adobe Reader download page.

There are two wonderful ways to get keyword rich anchor text directing people back to your blog post. The first is to write and submit an article about your blog post to other web site and blog owners who will upload your article to their site. In return those web site and blog owners will provide you with a keyword rich anchor text link from your article back to your blog. They get great content for their web site and you get a valuable one-way link back to your blog post.

The second way is to encourage other blog owners to write about your blog post. In doing so, they are very likely to use your blog title as the anchor text leading readers back to your post. This is another reason why it’s so important to use your keyword phrase in your blog title.

5. Ask Your Readers To Digg Your Blog Post

Ask your readers to tell the rest of the world about your blog post by submitting it to one of the social bookmarking sites. They include DIGG, Stumble, Blink and many others. If the title of your blog post includes your keyword phrase, it is likely that this is how your readers will describe your blog post to the social bookmarking sites. This helps Google decide where to rank your site on the search results page.

6. Blog On A Community Site

Recognized Expert, Active Rain, and Christian Blog are all examples of niche community blog sites. Recognized Expert is a site for marketing experts, Active Rain is for real estate professionals and the Christian blog is for, you guessed it, Christians. These niche sites have tons of traffic along with the undivided attention of Google and the other search engines.

If you’re a marketing expert for example, blogging on a site like Recognized Expert will push your blog post to the top of the search results page in a matter of hours. That’s a huge reason to blog on a community site. If you wrote the same content on your own blog, it may take months to be seen by Google, and you may never get close to the first page for your keyword phrase.

Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL and the other search engines explore busy community sites for new content every few minutes. On the other hand, they visit newer and smaller sites every few months. If you’re serious about generating business from blogging, consider blogging on a topic specific community site.

Apply these six steps to every blog post you write, and you will quickly create a huge following of clients and potential clients. This is how the pro bloggers get their blogs ranked high on Google.
